Hi, thanks for visiting my page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be passed to Aurora project Lambeth.
I am raising the money for Aurora Project and I am also volunteering there as a peer mentor. This project is to support people who are in treatment for alcohol and substance misuse. I am involved as I am in recovery myself from my own addiction issues. This is a great way for me to give something back and any donations made will go a long way towards this cause.
Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
Fundraising has now finished, but thanks for visiting this page.

Aurora Project Lambeth - The Aurora Project offers one to one peer mentoring to people in treatment for drug or alcohol use . The project is delivered by volunteers who are in recovery themselves. In addition the project delivers a number of social groups to clients including an Art Group, Book Club, Fitness Group and Computer Club to help decrease clients social isolation and engage in activities away from drug or alcohol use. We recruit, train and support a team of volunteer peer mentors all of whom have been through treatment for substance or alcohol use and are now in recovery. We train these volunteers to be Peer Mentors, who are then matched to clients referred to us by treatment providers in south London. Our peer mentors offer clients a range of help and support including, non-judgmental support and recovery advice, when clients feel that they need extra emotional support in their recovery journey, we offer practical advice and information around issues such as housing, health and benefits, including motivational support and assistance in accessing support groups and recovery activities available to clients in south London. We support our volunteers to maintain their own recovery, and offer guidance on employment, training & education.
