About

Andrew Hegarty is the host of the Mighty Radio Breakfast Show in Southport, Merseyside.
Andrew will be hosting a special 26 hour-long radio show, in support of Queenscourt Hospice in Southport, starting at 8am on Friday 28th October, finishing at 10am on Saturday 29th October. Andrew (and Queenscourt Hospice) needs the support of the Mighty Radio listeners and the people of Sefton and West Lancashire in order to raise £500 to help the hospice continue to provide care and support to people from Southport, Formby and West Lancashire with serious illnesses.
This event is also being held in memory of Southport resident, Kayleigh Hayes, who died in 2013 at the age of 23 from bowel cancer. Queenscourt Hospice provided care and support for Kayleigh and her family.
The event is sponsored by local taxi company, Kwik Cars, and many other local businesses will be helping to support this worthwhile cause.
Please give as much (or as little) as you can and tune in to Mighty Radio from 8am on Friday 28th October to see if Andrew can broadcast non-stop for 26 hours!
Thank you!

Charity
Queenscourt Hospice - Queenscourt Hospice is an independent charity that provides specialist palliative care to the community in Southport, Formby, West Lancashire and surrounding areas.

Opened in 1991 it is largely dependent on voluntary donations to provide the care that all its patients and their relatives deserve.

Our services include a ten bedded In Patient unit, a Day Therapy service with many complementary therapies including creative therapy, an Out Patient unit and our new Queenscourt at Home service which recently enjoyed its first birthday.

Our Terence Burgess Education Centre runs training courses attended by a wide variety of health professionals and others concerned with caring for the terminally ill.

Without the help and support of people who go that little bit extra or that one step further we would not be able to continue providing our exceptional standard of care.

We would like to thank everyone who might consider Queenscourt Hospice as the beneficiary of their kindness.
