Kieron Heath Rides 100 Miles For Team Shelter
Fundraiser: Kieron Heath
Running total: £670.00
Total raised incl. Gift Aid:£785.00
I started riding a bike seriously in September 2016. This started my Pig Dog to Cyclist Journey. My first big challenge is RideLondon100 - a 100 mile closed-road event following the 2012 Olympic course.
I started cycling because I was over-weight and unfit. I knew I had to do something to change this, and maximise my physical youth. I have committed myself to pushing my limits in my 30s and 40s. I'm looking and feeling better than I have in years, and my mental health is in prime condition. It's all because of the miracle of cycling.
I've never done an event like this before. But, my plan is to put everything into it, and have a time I can be proud of.
I will be riding to support Shelter, a charity that aims to end homelessness and bad housing. I have personally benefitted from their campaign and would like to support their good work.
Please take a moment to drop even £1, and please pass this page through your colleagues and friends. Every tiny gesture helps support this charity and is a morale boost to my ride.
If you work for a company that likes to support charity events, please pass this page onto your employer so they can drop some serious dough.
I'll be posting training updates and some live tweets from the event on Twitter - @KG_Heath

2017 Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100
30 July 2017
Celebrating the legacy for cycling created by the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 starts in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, then follows a 100-mile route on closed roads through the capital and into Surrey’s stunning countryside. With leg-testing climbs and a route made famous by the world’s best cyclists at the London 2012 Olympics, it's a truly spectacular event for all involved. The Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 finishes on The Mall in central London, shortly before 150 professional cyclists race in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey Classic on a similar route.
