A&M SCOTLAND supports children and young people from some of Scotland's most deprived areas to improve life chances.
An award winning charity A&M specialise in the delivery of diversionary group work and physical activities for young people aged 5 - 25 within Glasgow and West-Central Scotland. The young people we work with are often at risk of becoming involved in anti-social and/ or criminal behaviour, substance abuse/ misuse and gang membership or violence. Our activities divert young people from negative situations which may impact on their lives and opportunities in the future. We aim to improve participants’ physical health and well being by increasing participation in physical activity and sport, and by educating them about the benefits of healthy diet and lifestyle. Our services also encourage participants to develop personal and social skills, self-efficacy, self-esteem, and personal responsibility.
We currently operate in 35 local community sites and 25 schools throughout Glasgow and West Central Scotland and work with up to 2500 young people every week.
